YCN Student Award brief to create a promotional campaign for Fedrigoni Paper’s new “Imaginative Colours” paper selection tool.
My concept centers around the idea of an escape from everyday life. When we imagine our minds leave where we are; our offices, our streets, our towns, and enter another world.
This mail out book offers a brief escape from an everyday fast-paced environment. What appears at first to be a row of houses becomes an invitation into an imaginative world.

D&AD challenged students to create a new brand of Scotch whisky, this included naming the brand, an identity design, packaging and a container. My response is Flora & Fauna, a Superior Scotch inspired by the Miracle of Mother Nature.

The NYC Spaghetti started as a university project where I had to repackage a diffcult item.
My choice was spaghetti and it became the focal point of the packaging. On the underside of the box is a model of the Chrysler building that when pushed into the spaghetti creates a skyscraper impression on top. Fortunately this project has been well received winning 2nd place in the Dieline awards and commended at the D&AD Student Awards 2010.

Robert MacKenzie wanted a contemporary brand that reflects the tradition and quality of Cullisse rapeseed oil, whilst avoiding Scottish cliches. Through hand-blown, glass bottles and unembellished typography, Cullisse is beginning to conquer the farm shops and groceries of the highlands.

Elixer is a 15 year old whisky blend sourced from independent Scottish distilleries.
It aims to draw in a new female and male audience and entice them to try whisky in new ways. It is designed to stand out from conventional whisky packaging and branding on the shelf and promote a curiosity about its contents. The bottle is ceramic with a matte black glaze and has a stopper lid. It is accompanied by a booklet of cocktail ideas designed by the Elixer master blender.

The concept was fairly simple: I buy t-shirts online and they always come wrinkled and I always run out of coat-hangers. So I designed a sustainable, reusable way to send and keep your t-shirts. As you open the package you create a coat hanger. The packaging could be made from recycled material whether it is card or plastic and the only waste is the green tear-away tab. The t-shirt seen here is from Threadless.
This project won a FIRST prize in the D&AD Student Awards 2007 category ‘What else do you do?’. I was dead chuffed to win a yellow pencil.
