LE PÉCHÉ is a Premium Absinthe from Switzerland. It was Founded under another name in 1880 in the canton of Neuchâtel. However, in 1910 absinthe was banned from sale and production in Switzerland, and it was at this time some continued to make the drink in secrecy, to please the lovers of the drinks. In the social aspect, it was considered “The Devils Drink”. And this is where LE PÉCHÉ, meaning “The Sin”, got it’s name.

With inspiration from the 19th century bohemes of France, this absinthe was created to reflect the mystique and the culture that the drink was surrounded by. It was believed to stimulate creativity, raise the drinkers consciousness, insights, and emotional experience. Aiming for the high-end market this packaging is minimalistic with only two colours in addition to the dark green bottle; black and silver.

A family run business from the harbour town Genova, making and distributing organic food. A pattern with a distinct color scheme inspired from the sea is consistently used on all packaging, making it easy to recognise. The labels are kept very simple, yet informative, and the typefaces chosen are inspired by Italian culture. The crest used in the logo and on the packaging is to emphasize the family aspect.

QUEENSLAND SUNCARE was a packaging project during summer 2011, second year of graphic design. The packaging is a fictional Australian product for the Norwegian market. There were made a series of suncare products which focus on natural ingredients and recycled materials. The series will consist of products for both face and body. The colors are inspired by the Australian climate, which is warm and dry, and the box represents a flower that opens when being nourished. Read more…
