Aalborg Jubilæums Akvavit

Designed by Thorbjørn Gudnason & others | Country: Denmark

A fictional schoolproject redesigning Aalborg Jubilæums Akvavit.

This product is a celebration of the 100 year anniversary for Aalborg Taffel Akvavit, 1846.
Our intension with the redesign was to reach a younger targetgroup, while still having the elderly consumers in mind. We have made a new label for the new bottle, but kept the current traditional logotype. One of the recognizabilities of this liquor is its taste of oak, which we chose to highlight.

The gift packaging which is handcrafted in oak, will be more expensive in purchase than just the bottle, and will be a preferable luxury choice for anniversary presents.

I’m 21 years old. Currently studying Graphic Design at School for Visual Communication (BA) in Haderslev, Denmark. I’m very curious, always have a project or 5 going on, and addicted to music.

I really like the rustic look, the box and straw really make the bottle stand out. The bottle itself has an interesting shape and color.
